Geoffrey
Ashworth - Artist
Geoffrey was born in Burnley in 1952 and moved to his
home town of Accrington when very young. He began his
working life as a cartographer, drawing maps for the
Ordnance Survey in Southampton. Returning to Lancashire,
he attended Salford college gaining valuable experience
in graphic design and illustration.
Painting
mainly in watercolours he tries to portray the natural
beauty of the northern landscape and its wildlife.

Keith
Melling - Landscape Painter
Keith Melling was born in Lancashire in 1946 and has
been drawing and painting from an early age. Largely
self-taught he had his first exhibition in 1966 before
studing at Burnley School of Art and the Harris College
Preston
Equally
at home working on location or in the studio, his paintings
reflect his patient dedication in rendering accurately
not only the topographical features, but also the feeling
or essence of the places he knows so well.
Oil
paint is his favourite medium which he makes in the
studio using traditional methods. For the smaller pictures
gouache is used. He also produces wood-engravings.
There
is an ever increasing demand for his fine quality prints,
and his paintings have won many competitions. He is
represented in collections throughout the world.
Keith
lives in the beautiful Pendle Forest area of Lancashire.

Graham
Carver MA- Artist
Graham carver lived his early life in Norfolk. He studied
art and design at Hornsey College of Art in London before
moving to Leeds College of Art to study painting. He subsequently
made his home in Yorkshire and taughtart and design in
Leeds for a number of years before becoming a full-time
professional painter. He now lives near Kirkby Stephen
in Cumbria, equidistant between his main subject areas,
the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District.
He has exhibited in some of the leading galleries in the
UK, including the Leeds City Art Gallery, the Cartwright
Hall, Bradofrd, the Ginnnel Gallery, Manchester, The Talbot
Galleries, Lancaster, the Lauron Gallery near Ilkley,
and the the Bankside and Mall Galleries in London. His
work is nationally recognised, not only through the countrywide
sale of his limited edition prints and originals but also
through exhibition success in the national watervolour
comptetition sponsored by Singer and Friedlander and the
Sunday Times.
Although best known for his watercolour topographical
views, he paints urban subjects and aslo works in oils.
His work displays a particular interest in the effects
of light upon buildings and landscape, sunlight and shadow
often forming important elements in the competition.
His original work is mainly in the hands of private collectors,
not only in the UK but also in France, Belgium, The Netherlands,
New Zealand, Japan, Canada and the United States |
